Weithak

Weytakh is a famous hotel, but it is also one of the oldest buildings in the Old Brendan Valley, at the foot of the Southeast Tharsis Mountains. Since the end of the eighteenth century Mars has been home to several architectural marvels at a time when the natives were still looking for a style away from the official Celtic-Scandinavian pomposities that will prevail in the century following the independence of the Red Planet. At that time. Some were based on experiments in Scotland and Sweden on the propensity of local habitats to maintain their degree of hygrometry and temperature over a very short range. One of these practices consisted in covering an inverted craft with earth, the vaulted hull of which naturally defined a space of life. The earth that covered the wooden building was the best protection against the cold. Weytakh is the name of a wealthy owner of a hotel chain in the Tharsis Mountains. At the time, it is a question of establishing on a vast land of 80 Ha a radically new hotel complex in its approach to the high standing, while having an aspect as close as possible to a local architecture, plunging its roots in a Past rich with traditional practices. As a result, most of the buildings are facing south, with large bay windows lenticular in shape. The building had a buried part including an underground access of 2500 meters with terminal, also underground parking, luxury shops. A cinema, a casino, a restaurant and a gym and swimming pool. The "aerial" part included an entanglement of 15 domes apparently placed there by chance, but whose management of internal access was studied with the greatest care. These same domes were covered by one or two meters of earth fixed by a sieve itself associated with blocks of stone which form an interlacing to retain this mass of organic matter. Each dome consisted of two apartments, the main bedroom and the living room overlooking the outside. Most of them still had a common terrace, forming a kind of suspended garden. Under the latter, the arches of a gallery which overlooked other dwellings.

Rolf Weytakh had defined it to house 60 families. The Old Brendan\'s well-groomed terrain lends itself to the joys of skiing in winter, fishing and hunting in summer and inter-season. Inaugurated on August 26, 2804, Weytakh became in barely six years the most exclusive resort of the Tharsis. The regime\'s officials regularly invited the press on the occasion of family apparitions to take popular sympathy. For fifteen years it became a sort of second home for the first Secretary of the Martian Council, Rob E. Jenkins. On the end of their lives. Several personalities of the world of the spectacle, the fashion and the business met there in reduced committee. One of the rooms left free by the architect was modified in 2821 to become a vast auditorium. Moreover, other spaces planned in advance for a future extension were used to make this place a very popular cultural attraction, due to the relaxation of the artists present occurring in a somewhat informal way. The "Weytakh touch" became for all Martian the end of the comfort of the performing artists, and the place par excellence of the connections between the demands of the arts and the power.

From 2865. Weytakh became the most sought-after place of a festival of the intellectual elites of Mars. Each edition featured extensively about her at least a week before and after her run through most of the world\'s major media. From 2879, and until 2910, Weytakh crossed his "golden age". This simple complex of extension extensions had become a true cultural city. It was always a holiday resort, but it was also a place where work and leisure were intimately intertwined. Recording studios were built 12 km to the south, followed by five other complexes of the same style, with immense pavilion zones spread over 120 Ha. A virtual multimedia production center was set up from 2884 and allowed many famous artists to settle there permanently. Creative centers, business headquarters were established there, and in 2888, Weytakh, with 25,000 residents, had become the great Martian cultural center. The surrounding hills nevertheless hid their infrastructures which were beautifully hidden and integrated into the landscape, so that the visual quality of this city in the making was of the highest level. Roff Weytakh, his founder, had meanwhile died, but his virtual entity continued to act on the development of this site as a majority councilor for 215 years. Until 3098), Weytakh was preserved from the appetites of certain investors.

Aware that the "Weytakh spirit" was basically non-commercial and mixing work and leisure according to a principle of flexibility, freedom and absolute trust between managers, artists, and producers. The hotel site went through the centuries without really changing faces. The above engraving describes this complex at its very beginnings. In 3100, the site was hardly different, only the place of the trees and their size had evolved. But the landscape design of the first designers of the site was respected to the letter R. W wanted to keep exactly the same appearance at his complex, in the bush), and this fatt regularly, certain species were uprooted to be replanted Elsewhere as other arrivals were introduced at a similar level of growth so that overall the same balance is respected whatever the year. From 310.0, R.W. had virtually died, and his affairs passed to his great-grandson, K. Svansson. The latter, however, had in mind to extend the cultural empire "Weytakh by designing a real merchandising, opening in all the great Martian cities of the Weyrnarts, cultural supermarkets based on the" Weytakh spirit "(a more relaxed and simple atmosphere That places usually dedicated, organizing shows and attractions.). The company Weytakh therefore carried out, at the cost of a complete dislocation of the fire of eW., And after many judicial battles against the multiple beneficiaries of the family, a beneficial Basque explosion, at the price of a Disneylandization of the initial site. The earnestness of Swansson\'s collaborators, and the fact that the latter was caught in heavy accusations of corruption mingling his companion, was ousted in favor of a new collective of shareholders who completed the transformation of the site into a real museum and park Dicrtiradtion receiving millions of tourists every year.

The landscape was shattered to the extent that many mass constructions appeared with an almost absent concern of integration with the site, which degraded in less than 4 years. The trials resumed in 3128 at the instigation of a descendant of RW. This time it received the support of many personalities of the world of the spectacle, and following favorable quotations from some media politicians, CF Weytakh-Rafler resumed control of the group. His first decision was to separate the hotel site (which existed only legally) as such and decided to have it rebuilt identically at 25 km away. Pharaonic works made it possible to recreate on 25 Ha the landscape, to the surrounding hills near, of the initial site. The complex itself was recreated identically. However, Weytakh\'s image had been too tarnished. And customers were scarce. The anticipated clientele did not show up and it was taurids eager for sensationalism that prevailed then. But not finding their account. The latter made a counter-advertisement and the complex never managed to make profitable its very heavy investments. The hotel branch was finally settled and in 3139, and CF Weytakh quickly out of control of his company. Meanwhile, Weytakh Mart had seen its business fall regularly for twenty years, and the cultural complex combining tourism, production and Disaffection due to a rapid deterioration of its initial attractiveness, its congestion and costs now unattractive to the trade.
